Our Program

At Sweetwater Farms we pride ourselves on how we grow and treat our plants throughout their entire lifecycle. Feeding all plants an Organic Nutrient regiment and growing them in soil are key characteristic to how we develop such fresh, terpene-rich profiles for our flower. This is why we ONLY use pesticides on an ‘AS NEEDED’ basis and also use only Organically Certified brands.

Please see below for a sequence of how we apply pesticides to our garden and at which stage of their lifecycle. In a nutshell, these products are a derivative of all natural ingredients to substitute for synthetic chemically produced products.

Vegetative Plants (prior to any flower developing)

SNS-209™ provides a barrier for plants to protect them against damaging insects. The SNS-209™ barrier is harmless to the plant but distasteful to mites and other insects. SNS-209™ Systemic Insect Control is made up of 100% pure botanical extracts that are highly water-soluble. The botanical extracts are all food grade GRAS (generally recognized as safe) materials.

Active Ingredients: Rosemary Extract & Rosemary Oil

Organocide (OMRI Certified) uses a specific blend of sesame oil, fish oil and soybean extract to work as an insecticide, miticide and fungicide. It contains no petroleum solvents and is an ideal alternative to many chemical-based pesticides and sprays.

Active Ingredients: Sesame Oil

Flowering Plants (ONLY when needed)

We use an OMRI, Organically Certified product called Azamax. AzaMax is a natural insecticide, miticide, and nematicide made from Neemazal® Technical. This is extracted from the neem seed kernel, through patented extraction technology. THIS IS NOT THE SAME LINE of product that was taken on and off the Washington State Approved List in previous years.

Active Ingredient: Azadirachtin - is a biodegradable derivative of the seeds produced by neem trees, which has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for millennia. Azadirachtin is toxic to more than 200 species of insects but is not persistent, breaking down within 100 hours of use when exposed to water and light. It is effective against any cannabis insect pest and also inhibits fungi like powdery mildew.
